As always, the next FES-Mérce film club will take place again on the last Monday of the month, this time on 29 May. We will be screening the film Florida Project (2017) directed by Sean Baker and after the film we will have a moderated discussion on housing poverty with our invited guests. The Florida Project, which unfolds the life of little Monee and her young single mother, shows that not all Americans are living the so-called American Dream. Through the eyes of the little girl, the reality of poverty is somewhat softened, but the struggle to make a living is made even more stark in the light of a child's innocence.
