How are news consumption changing in Hungary?
How do Hungarians inform themselves about political news? How did, for example, the birth of the Central European Press and Media Foundation (KESMA) affect the access to credible political information? How did Covid-19 or the transformation of Index.hu influence the news consumption habits of the Hungarians? How diverse is the media landscape from the perspective of news consumption across the country? What are the long-term trends?
These questions and others will be answered, based on the new national representative survey by Median Opinion & Market Research.
The results will be presented by Endre Hann (Median). Afterwards, Veronika Munk, editor-in-chief of Telex.hu, Eszter Katus, editor of the Átlátszó-project “Across the Country”, and founder-editor of the local news site 7300.hu in Komló will have a conversation with Gábor Polyák, media lawyer and co-founder of Mérték, talking about „the changing media consumption habits” across Hungary.
